Website design for local shops
Where you are, when you are open, what you stock, and why people should come to you.
A local shop site should answer the practical questions first: where you are, when you are open, what you are known for, and why someone should visit you rather than order online.
This is an illustration of the approach — not a template you pick from a menu. Every site starts blank after a conversation about how independent retailers, delis, florists actually win work.
The process
- A proper conversation. Half an hour on the phone or a video call, free and with no obligation. I want to understand what your business does, who buys from you and what you want the website to bring in.
- A plan you sign off. I write up the structure page by page, what each page is there to do, and the fixed price. Nothing gets built until you have read it and agreed.
- Your design, from scratch. I draft your site around your services, your words and your branding. If you do not have branding yet, I will talk you through the options.
- Two rounds of your feedback. You get a link to the real site in your own browser. You tell me what to change, I refine it, and you look again. This is the part most website services skip.
- Launch, then a named person. I connect your domain, set up SSL and a hosting account, add analytics and the search basics, and put it live. After that you have someone to ring rather than a support form.
